The Pinterest Ads integration connects your Pinterest ad account(s) to Medialake. It syncs your campaign hierarchy, ingests the Pins behind your ads as media files, and captures performance metrics — powering Performance dashboards and reports. Everything is read-only: Medialake never creates, edits, pauses, or spends anything in your account.

Before you connect

Spend and every other cost metric are only returned by Pinterest when the connecting account has billing-level access to the ad account. An Analyst permission is enough to sync your campaign structure, creatives, impressions and engagement — but Pinterest silently omits spend, CPC, CPM, CPA and ROAS, and those metrics stay blank in Medialake.

Grant Medialake Campaigns (Campaign Manager) or Admin access on each ad account you want cost reporting for. See Authentication for how to check and set this, and Troubleshooting if spend is already missing.

What it syncs

The full delivery hierarchy — campaigns, ad groups, and ads — plus the Pins behind those ads (images and videos, ingested as files, with carousels split into one file per slide) and performance metrics for each ad, captured in daily buckets.

Pages in this integration

  1. Authentication — the permissions we request, who should connect, and how to revoke access

  2. Data Mapping — the objects we sync and the exact fields we read

  3. Metrics Reference — every metric, its Pinterest analytics column, and how currency conversion works

  4. Troubleshooting — missing spend, missing ads, and other common issues
