Creating and Filling Folders

Note: Folders can only contain Collections, not individual assets. There is no limit to the amount of nested folders you can make.

Step 1: Accessing Your Library

From your medialakeAI Dashboard you will need to navigate to and open the Library tab, highlighted in the image below.

Clicking on the Library tab will open the Library Menu, with variety sub-menus including All Assets, Collections, Duplicates Types and Advanced Search.

Navigate to and click on the dropdown arrow next to the Collections label, seen highlighted in red below, to be taken to your overall Library of assets.

In the dropdown menu, click "View All," seen highlighted in red below, to be taken to your collections page.


Step 2: Creating a folder

On the Collections page, seen in the image below, navigate to the collection you would like to add to your folder.

Proceed to click on the three dot icon, outlined in red in the image below, that is on the the relevant collection card.

This will open a dropdown menu with options labeled Add to..., Rename, and Delete. Click on "Add to.." as seem highlighted in red in the image below.

Clicking "Add to..." will open a menu displaying all of your created folders and the option labeled + Add New, as seen outlined in red in the image below.

Note: Clicking on one of the existing folders will add the selected asset to the selected folder.

Doing so will open a pop up asking your to name your new folder. Type in the name of your folder and click on the button labeled Create, as seen in the image below.

This will create your folder.


Step 3: Viewing Your New Folder

From anywhere on medialakeAI you will need to navigate to and open the Library tab, highlighted in the image below.

Clicking on the Library tab will open the Library Menu, with various options.

Clicking the My Collections label will open a dropdown listing some of the collections that have been created.

Folders are not displayed in this dropdown so you will have to click on the option labeled View All, as seen outlined in red in the image below.

This will bring you to the Collections page, where you can see all folders and collections that you have access to.

Look through the Folders section until you find the one you created.

Clicking on the folder card will bring you to the into the folder, displaying all the collections, assets and sub-folders that have been added to the folder you selected, as seen in the image below.

Note: You can create new sub-folders and collections within the folder you selected.
