Step 1: Accessing the Search Bar

From anywhere on medialakeAI you will need to navigate to and open the sidebar by clicking on the icon outlined in red in the image below.


Step 2: Basic Search

With the sidebar now open, click in the search bar, seen outlined in red in the image below.

This will open a pop up window in which will will be able to use the basic search feature or access the Advanced Search option.

For the basic search you can search for assets using file names and uploader.

The basic search will display all relevant assets with details including file type, file name, uploader's account, what service the file is stored on, file size, file length (for video), and date of upload, all of which can be seen in the image below.

Clicking the Search button, seen in the bottom right corner of the pop up, will bring you to all the relevant results, as opposed to just the Top Results like in the search pop up.


Step 3: Accessing Advanced Search

If you want to add specific parameters to your search, then Advanced Search is the way to go. To access the Advanced Search feature, open the search pop up and click the Advanced Search label, seen outlined in red in the image below.

Now on the Advanced Search page, you will see a multitude of parameters with which you can use specific details to filter your search.

The first filtering option you will see is to the right of the Search bar:

The Filters dropdown menu provides options to limit your search results to files with the search term appearing in the file name, the labels on the file, the transcription of video and audio files, text that appear in the asset, the file's moderation setting, the emotions detected in a file, genders that are detected in the file, faces that are detected in the file or age ranges detected in a file.

The next parameter you can control are the source services that you wish yo sort through. For example, you can choose to limit the search to only files that were uploaded to Google Drive, Vimeo or any other service you have integrated with your medialakeAI account.

Following that are option which allow you to limit your search results to certain file types such as MP4 or JPEG.

You can also limit your search results using the Users parameter, seen outlined in red in the image below, which allow you to ensure you are only search files associated with particular users or team.

Below the Users parameter are options which allow you limit your search results to files within a particular size rage, videos within a particular time length, files created during a specific date range and files that were updated during a particular date range.

Clicking the Search # Assets button at the very bottom of the page will take you to all of your relevant results, as dictated by your search parameters.
